Due to popular demand, the already sold out show of Bo Bice & Gwen Sebastian on Thursday July 22nd is being moved to a larger room at the Muscle Shoals Convention Center to make it possible for more people to attend. 100 more tickets will be on sale tomorrow morning at 10 am and there are two ways to get tickets: Stop by the Kix 96.1 studios at 624 Sam Phillips Street in Florence (across from the Coliseum) OR call 256.764.8121. Nashville International Airport has announced continuing changes in auto traffic flow as a result of on-going construction of the rental car facility. The airport tells us that construction on the 900,000-square-foot consolidated rental car facility began in February and is expected to be completed in November 2011. Why hassle with driving to the airport and the on-going traffic surprises that may present, when you can ride “The Runner” and we can get you to both the Nashville and Memphis airports in convenience and comfort. Nashville Airport Travel Advisory

Just received the following travel advisory from Nashville Airport Authority: Monday, May 17, through Friday, May 21, blasting associated with construction of the new consolidated rental car facility will continue and be done two times a day: 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. This blasting requires brief, temporary closures of traffic (10-15 minutes) within Long Term A parking lot and impact entry into the Short Term parking garage as well. Mule Day: A Columbia, TN Tradition

Mule Day, scheduled for April 8-11, is an annual celebration of all things related to mules and is held in Columbia, TN, the “Mule Capital” of the world. Begun in 1840 as “Breeder’s Day,” a meeting for mule breeders, it now attracts over 200,000 people and takes place over four days. In addition to mules, traditional Appalachian food, music, dancing, and crafts are featured. Mule Day celebrations have included square dancing, mule-driving contests, horse shows, crafts festivals, and flea markets. Other events include “working mule,” “best of breed,” or even lumberjack competitions. Bring your appetite so you can be sure to enjoy some of the great food served at the event including barbecue, roasted corn, home-made pies and funnel cakes. Since 1934, the festival has been highlighted by a Mule Day Parade, selection of the Mule Day Queen and the annual mule pull contest. If you’ve never been, you need to go!

You better be wearing the green when you go to historic downtown Franklin on Saturday, March 14 when the whole town celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with Feile (pro: “FAY-LA”) Franklin – a celtic festival on historic Main Street! Streets will be filled with Irish music, dance, food and fun. It’s a free street festival with a ticketed imported beer tasting in the Main Street area shops. The street will be filled with roasted potatoes, fried potatoes, turkey legs, fish and chips and all things Irish. At night, specialty and imported beers will be sampled at the shops. More than two dozen Irish bands and dance groups will be featured on two stages throughout the event. All proceeds will go to Downtown Franklin Association for promotion and continued revitalization of the historic district, which is on the National Register of Historic Places and designated by the National Trust as a Great American Main Street.

The Nashville International Airport just sent out a travel advisory for Spring Break with the first two pieces of advice being “Arrive early” and “Be aware of parking lot construction.” If you ride the ATRunner, you don’t have to worry about that! The ATRunner will drop you off and pick you up right at the terminal so you don’t have to worry about parking hassles or building in extra time to allow for parking further away from the terminal. ATRunner Simplifies Airport Transportation

Nashville International Airport will begin construction today, February 22, on a new 900,000 square-foot rental car facility. This 18-month project will close a portion of the Long Term Parking Lot A at the airport. Why deal with the hassle of finding parking or dealing with construction dust when you can climb aboard the ATRunner and let us drop you off and pick you up right at the terminal? ATRunner Not Operating January 31

As a result of impassable roads and freezing overnight temperatures that will make conditions worse, the ATRunner will NOT be operating Sunday January 31. Normal operations are planned to resume Monday February 1.

ATRunner Service Cancelled 1/29 and 1/30

Due to inclement weather, ATRunner round-trip motorcoach service between Florence, AL and Nashville, TN with service to Lawrence, Williamson and Maury Counties has cancelled its afternoon service today Friday 1/29 and all service tomorrow 1/30. Service will resume regular schedule on Sunday 1/31. The ATRunner serves the communities of Lawrenceburg, Ethridge, Columbia, Spring Hill, and Nashville with connecting service to the Nashville Greyhound and Nashville Airport. Christian Music Winter Jam Feb 21 in Nashville

The annual winter Jam is scheduled for February 21 in Nashville at the Sommet Center downtown. Scheduled to appear during this highly popular contemporary Christian music fest are Third Day, Tenth Avenue North, Fireflight, Newsboys among many others. Doors open at 5pm with a suggested donation of $10 at the door, no tickets are available in advance.
