Future Lawrence Cty Leaders in Nashville Today
Today, 38 members of Leadership Lawrence County, both the youth and adult programs, will ride aboard our motorcoach to Nashville (the state capital) for the day to learn about the inner workings of state government as it relates to their community. While there, program members will tour the Capital building, meet with Governor Bredesen if available, and then have presentations from Senator Doug Jackson, Representative Joey Hensley, Secretary of State Tre Hargett, Comptroller of the Treasury Justin Wilson as well as from members of the Department of Tourism and Economic Development. Leadership Lawrence has been recognized as one of the best leadership program in the State. This is a tremendous investment by the chamber in creating informed future leaders of their community. We are proud to be supporting them in these efforts.
