Allstate Band Wins Hands Down!
The Good Hands Band from Allstate Insurance Company won the Arts & Business Council’s Music City Corporate Band Challenge on Sunday night during the second annual competition at Belmont University’s Massy Performing Arts Center winning the right to perform at CMA Music Fest! Avenue Bank’s The Hummingbirds finished second, and BMI’s $timulu$ Package finished third. The groups were judged by Rod Essig of Creative Artists Agency, Tony Conway of Conway Entertainment Group, music video producer Trey Fanjoy, Angie Gore of Kaleidoscope Media, and Susan Stewart, the regional director of National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Judging was based on musicianship, originality, appearance, crowd appeal and overal impression. The other finalists were Pushing Metal from Beaman Automotive, The Other Brian Setzer Orchestra from CIGNA Government Services, Legal Trouble from Loeb & Loeb and Three Day Weekend from First Tennessee.
