Flags Dating to 1844 on Display in Columbia, TN

The James K. Polk homestead in Columbia, TN is housing a collection of 100 banners and flags dating as far back as 1844 when Polk served as the country’s 11th President. The exhibit, called “Whose Broad Strips and Bright Stars: The US Flag Through History,” will be on display through October 31. For those planning a family reunion, a military reunion, school trip or other gathering of history buffs or people who truly appreciate the historic nature of all that is available here in Tennessee, this is a great display to see.
